Meet The Founder

Hello! my name is Arhan Agarwal, the founder of "Fur the Better!" This business sparked from my passion for animals and figured that my knowledge and insight could be a useful tool in the pet industry by making all types of pet owners' lives much easier, and preventing a predominant issue of animal abuse and neglect. Alongside this mission, Fur the Better is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for the Stray Animal Foundation of India, with a special focus on supporting and protecting stray dogs in need.

As a rabbit owner myself, I often get caught up in school work and personal matters that can interfere with my relationship and care for my bunny. By addressing this problem that resonates with many pet owners, I hope that my business and the services that I offer lead you to a more convenient lifestyle.

Fur the Better is the only business in central New Jersey that takes the extra step in making sure you're comfortable. With our dedicated team of 10, we guarantee 100% customer satisfaction for both you and your furry friend.

Mission

At "Fur the Better," our mission is to combat animal neglect by offering compassionate and accessible grooming and boarding services. We ensure that pets—whether traditional or exotic—receive the care they deserve, especially when their owners are unable to manage grooming needs like matted fur or require temporary care during vacations. Recognizing a gap in services for exotic animals in our community, Fur the Better is committed to filling that need with expertise, empathy, and respect for all species.

Track Record & Next Steps

Since launching in Montgomery, I have led a 10-person team during peak seasons, served over 55 clients, and generated more than $4,000 in annual revenue, , which I direct toward supporting the Stray Animal Foundation of India and its efforts to rescue and care for stray dogs. I have hosted 4 pet care workshops to promote responsible ownership and humane treatment. These experiences have helped me build a strong foundation in the local community and shaped my commitment to animal welfare.

Looking ahead, I plan to expand Fur the Better into Monmouth, Lakewood, Stafford, and Monroe. These areas in New Jersey have reported high rates of animal cruelty and abandonment, and I hope to bring accessible care and education to these communities. My long-term goal is to grow our reach while continuing to provide hands-on, compassionate services that prevent neglect and improve animal well-being.
